Well here we are ladies and gentlemen, Nearly one and a half months ago I started the birmingham seo challenge. Here we are March 21, 2011 and I am happy to report birmingham seo service is currently ranked #8 for birmingham seo and ranked #2 for birmingham seo service. This brings the official part of the challenge to a close however, I will still maintain and try to improve my rankings. As you can see below our final ranking has been achieved.As stated this officially ends the challenge because I have other obligations however, I will still look to improve the rankings of the site. Reason being the sites that are “above the fold” are the one that get the attention and traffic which leads to more clients and more sales for businesses. View the video below:

Hello ladies and gentlemen, below is  the video which shows my rankings as of a few days after I made my first video.

Since this video was made I have some very interesting things that I am going to share with you however, since I promised this video I will go ahead and post it first.

As you can see I have successfully ranked my site for the keyword term Birmingham SEO Service.

If someone is looking to hire a SEO specialist they will start the search in google by typing in a location first and then the product or service they are looking for. Can you see how powerful this is?

Will they always type Birmingham SEO Service? No? each person will search different. They may type Birmingham SEO and begin their search that way.

Well guess what? I am also ranked for that keyword phrase as well. Currently I am ranked #3 page #1 for “Birmingham SEO Service” So as potential clients are searching for my product or service I have to offer guess who they will likely choose? Someone from this first page! May not be me but by placing myself on the first page I increase my odds of getting a client!!

I also rank on the third page for “Birmingham SEO”. I should add my “main” site is on page 3. However, I have a Web 2.0 property that is dancing back and fourth from page 1 and page 2 as I write this!! Basically a web 2.0 site is a kind of free site you can control and place information on. In this case I have put content I desired on the site and linked it to my “main” page.

Hey guys and gals, Well this is it! What I am going to do is rank this very site that you are reading now. Do not worry if this is not making sense to you. If you are new to the term SEO or if you only have a business to run and feel you don’t have time to learn or understand what SEO means to you? The name of this site is birminghamseoservice. Duh! Yeah I know but I have to explain.

I will be ranking this site for two keywords “birmingham seo” and “birmingham seo service” both of which are in my domain name. Very important!

If you are reading this from my twitter page let me apologize. It’s a bit different for me to rank a site from the confines of my home where it’s just me a few dust bunnies and empty Mountain Dew cans and putting it out to the public.

Matter of fact I pushed it a bit because of this fact and my rankings actually sank a bit. Watch this first video below. In the video I demonstrate this site is nowhere to be found on the front page of Google. I apologize for the audio but basically I am explaining what i just told you above.

Logistically I am also in competition with sites in Birmingham in the UK as well. So there was a need to be a bit more specific who my intended audience will be for this site.

As it stands today February 20, 2011 I am ranked #3 for “birmingham seo service” and I am on page #4 for “Birmingham SEO“.

I will make a quick video to demonstrate the fact. I will also be going into what this ranking system means to small business owners both brick and mortar and those small businesses who just have an online presence as well. until next time….
