Tips to establish a PPC Campaign
Establishing an effective PPC Campaign Management Even though I am not a huge fan of PPC advertising for the small business. Yet the process still depens on the amount of traffic a business desires. Other factors that play a role would be the avg cost to get a customer and how much that customer is worth to a business. Most small businesses fall into one of the several customer categories below:
- High Volume High Yield
- High Volume Low Yield
- Low Volume High Yield
- Low Volume Low Yield
I do not recommend companies with a low volume low yield even bother establishing a PPC campaign. An example of such a business would be a doughnut shop or a pizza restaurant. Reason being the profit margin on such businesses are normally very low. There are more effective advertising methods for these types of businesses which we will get into in the future.
Google PPC
The most common type of PPC campaign to establish is Google PPC. This involves serveral steps the first being to determine what kkeywords get clients to your business. For example, a hair salon would use the following keywords:
- hair salon birmingham al
- hair salon in birmingham in al
- hair salons in birmingham
I use this business as an example, however looking at the amount of PPC ads as of this writing, just one, I would be cautious about spending any money on Google PPC. Due to the fact there is no competition. This can mean one of two things. Your business is the first to the party meaning you are the first to think of using PPC ads for hair salons, highly unlikely by the way. Or there is no money to be made with the selected keyword and further research is needed.
Facebook PPC
Next time we will take a look at advertising on Facebook which allows the local business the specifically target theirs customers by several factors including but not limited to age, gender, and most important location.
Until then I hope you have found this brief introduction to PPC advertising educational.
